Well, my husband and I simply adore his music, his way of being, and his work to help making this world a better place. Dancing his songs is something I started to do naturaly, as I have trained in Hawaiian dance since I was a child (besides my ballet, modern and contemporary dance training), buddhist meditation, and well, I love soft rock..., and indie, and that breezy feeling of living in a tropical island: his melody soothes my soul with ballads made of sand and sea. So for our son's 8th birthday, we bought him a guitar and a lovely family gift: Jack Johnson's latest album, To the Sea. This album is so wonderful! Our 6- year old son knows all "In Betwen Dreams" songs by heart!
Since I lost my last pregnancy in February, I felt an incredible need for healing my soul, having more time to enjoy life, dancing and meditating, and while listening to Jack Johnson's album, a tribute to Jack's father, Jeff, it made me realize that the pain we go through and difficulties of loosing someone we love can also be a source of inspiration to our talents and dreams.
Let Jack Johnson's 5 albuns and inspiration fill the air with lovely songs so I can dance again in tribute to my beloved ones and heal my pain ... and bring love, joy, creativity and inspiration to myself and others too!
Aloha e!
